Copy.ai Launches Competitor to Chat GPT: The Battle for AI Chat

8th March 2023

Unless you’ve been on a desert island; in a parallel universe. AI Chat or AI Assistants have been a pretty hot topic. Rudimentary versions of AI chat have been in existence for the past 70 years with ELIZA passing the turning test back in 1964. I used an early version of ChatGPT about 5 years ago, I used it a bit and then went no thanks! I can write everything better myself; with the latest version, is great for creating baseline content.

All these modern tools still follow the same input-output methodologies as back when ELIZA was playing the part of a psychotherapist back in the 60s.

The Difference Group has been using Copy.ai for about two years, we’re a fully paid up subscribers and love it. The brand has established itself as a leading AI assistant with its ability to write, research, and summarises content. Now, the company is taking on a new challenge by launching a competitor to Chat GPT, a popular AI assistant that enables users to have text-based conversations with a virtual assistant…. I transitioned over to ChatGPT albeit briefly as OpenAI levelled up. Now, I think Copy AI may’ve trumped Open.ai and their Chat GPT solution.

I wrote the below using Copy.AI, with some updates to make it sound more human. Because; well I still sound better, in my humble opinion.

What is Chat GPT?

Chat GPT is an AI assistant that enables users to have text-based conversations with a virtual assistant and is driving creators to deliver more value than ever before. Developed by OpenAI, the chatbot is to understand natural language and provide intelligent responses to user inquiries. Chat GPT can be integrated into various platforms, including websites, mobile applications, and messaging apps, and has gained popularity among businesses and individuals looking for an AI-powered customer service solution.

However, there are also some potential limitations to using Chat GPT. As with any AI-powered tool, the chatbot is only as good as the data it has been trained on, and there is a risk of bias or inaccuracies in its responses. Additionally, Chat GPT may struggle with complex or ambiguous inquiries, requiring human intervention to resolve certain issues.

Overall, Chat GPT has established itself as a leader in the chatbot industry, offering businesses and individuals an intelligent and efficient way to handle customer inquiries and generate leads. However, with the entry of Copy.ai into the chatbot market, it remains to be seen how Chat GPT will fare against its new competitor.
